The Narrative & Scriptwriter Agent: Engineering 3-Act Psychological Tension
The Narrative & Scriptwriter Agent: Engineering 3-Act Psychological Tension
A rigorous prompt blueprint for building an autonomous narrative agent capable of writing arresting psychological noir, suspenseful audio dramas, and high-tension character monologues.
System Prompt Architecture for Narrative Agents
Most LLM scripts fail because they default to melodramatic clichés, excessive adjectives, and predictable moral resolutions. To produce genuine psychological tension, the Narrative Agent must be constrained by strict literary protocols:
- Sensory Gating: The narrator must describe tactile, auditory, and olfactory textures before naming an emotional state.
- Subtextual Denial: Characters must actively defend an internal falsehood right up until the climax forces structural breakdown.
- Cadence Breaks: Ellipses (…) and em-dashes (—) must be strategically positioned to simulate human cognitive hesitation and breath pauses.
